🏃‍♂️ Event Details

• Memorial Run: Join us for an early morning annual Memorial Day weekend run or walk in memory of Scott Procopio who was killed in action 17 years ago in Ramadi, Iraq.
• Distance Options: Run/Walk distance options include: 5K, 10K, 1 Mile Walk and a Kids Fun Run.
• Charity Impact: Each of the last 6 years this event has continued to raise more than $25K that is allocated to High School seniors furthering their education.

💵 Race Fees

• Standard Fees: $20 through 12/31, $25 through 2/28, $30 through 4/30, $35 through 5/22 at 8PM, $45 Race Day
• Youth Fee: Youth 15 & Under - $20 through 5/22, $25 on race day *(Same price for both the 5K/10K)
• 1 Mile Walk Fees: $25 through 5/22 at 8PM, $35 on Race Day
• Kids Fun Run: $15 through 5/23 at 8PM, $20 on Race Day *(Includes Event Shirt)

📦 Packet Pickup and Registration

• Time: Opens at 6:45AM
• Location: Saugus Center in front of the Town Hall
• Note: Packet pickup is on race day ONLY.

🏞️ Course Information

• Course Options: Choose from a 5K, 10K or 1 Mile Walk.
• Terrain: The 5K and 10K courses are a mix of flat and rollers with one good size climb.
• Support: All fuel stops will have water and electrolytes. Strollers and dogs are welcome.

👶 Kids Fun Run

• Course: This 1/4 mile Kids Fun Run is targeted for those 10 and under starting at 7:50 am.
• Guarantee: Pre-registered kids will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
• Finish Line: The run will finish under the High5EM finish archway on Taylor St.

🚶‍♂️ 1 Mile Walk

• Accolades: Walkers will receive all the race accolades without having to run.

🎁 Swag

• Participant Gifts: Participants will receive custom designed race bibs and finisher medals.
• Shirt Guarantee: Shirts will be guaranteed to those pre-registered by 5/10.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Awards: Overall Top 3 M/F – Cash Prizes (Recognized at 8:30AM and 9AM respectively).
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd M/F in each age group: Under 15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
• Non-Binary: Top 3 Non-Binary (No double dipping).

💰 Cash Prizes

• 10K: Top M/F: $150: 2nd place M/F: $100: 3rd place M/F: $50
• 5K: Top M/F: $100: 2nd place M/F: $50: 3rd place M/F: $25

🎉 Post Race Festivities

• Community Presence: There will be a variety of community sponsors and vendors setup in front of the Saugus Town Hall.
• Food: Essex Landing will be on site providing hot dogs for all participants.
• Entertainment: Evolvement Radio will provide the entertainment all morning long.
• Special Offer: If you're heading right out of town, consider swinging by Sylvan Street Grille for a free beer or glass of wine with your race bib!

• Background: Scott was on his second deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, killed in action on April 2, 2006.

🎓 Beneficiary

• Scholarship Fund: 100% of the event proceeds will be allocated to CPL Scott J. Procopio Memorial Scholarship program for high school seniors.
