Race Day Information

• Date: Saturday, October 24
• 5K Start Time: 8:15 AM
• Location: Rural Hall Elementary School
• Address: 275 College Street, Rural Hall, NC 27045

• Parking: Available on school property and nearby streets.
• Weather: Race will be held rain or shine.

Course Information

• Change Notice: Due to NCDOT road construction on Bethania–Rural Hall Road, previous course cannot be used.
• New Start & Finish Location: Rural Hall Elementary School
• Course Details:
  • USATF‑Certified 5K Course for accurate, official results
  • Gun Start with Chip Timing for precise race tracking
  • Flat, Fast Out‑and‑Back Route along a protected lane of Broad Street
  • Runner, Walker, Stroller & Family‑Friendly Layout
  • Spectator‑Friendly Course with strong community support

10K Race Update

• Note: A 10K will not be offered in 2026.
• Future Plans: Revisit addition of a 10K next year once a suitable route is identified and certified off Broad Street.

Packet Pick-Up & Registration

• Early Packet Pick-Up:

• Participants registering after October 21 at 6:00 PM must pick up packets on race morning.

• Youth: Hanes soft 50/50 cotton/poly blend shirts

• Medals: Awarded to top finishers in Olympic‑Style Age Groups
• Age Groups: Under 10, 10–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70+

Water & Finish Line Treats

• Halfway Point: Water station available
• Finish-Line Refreshments: Bottled water, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, chocolate milk, cookies, fruit, Gatorade, and more

• Live DJ: Music throughout the event
• Cheering: Piedmont Cheering Hearts senior squad welcoming runners at the finish

Race Guidelines

• Pets: No pets allowed for safety reasons (service animals permitted)
• Cyclists: Will follow the final runner for safety and timely results
