This will be our 9th annual 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome and we are all excited to be back together again!

Date: March 21, 2026
Location: Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, Winston-Salem, NC
Distance: 5K race with an extra .11 mile added for a 3.21 total distance
Purpose: Fundraising event for awareness and support of individuals with Down syndrome

🧬 Understanding Down Syndrome

Most people have 2 copies of 23 different chromosomes, but individuals with Down syndrome are born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome (the medical term for this is Trisomy 21).
