🍀 Event Overview

Do you like to run (or walk)? Do you love to drink beer? Do you think St Patrick's Day should be a week-long national holiday?

Us too. And we have the perfect event for you!

🏃‍♂️ About the Race

The Running of the Leprechauns starts at Oden Brewing in Greensboro, NC and tours the UNCG campus before ending back at Oden Brewing for the soon-to-be famous Saturday before St. Paddy's Leprechaun celebration. This is a chip-timed event and a part of The Race Series. All finishers receive series points for participation!

🚶 Leprechaun Stroll

Not feeling the full 5K? Check out the "Leprechaun Stroll".

• Participation: You will participate in an untimed walk through parts of the course (less than 1 mile).
• Swag: Still get the race swag bag and race shirt (while supplies are available).
• Brew: Enjoy one delicious brew.

👶 Leprechaun Kids Dash

NEW in 2026, bring in the kiddos out for the Leprechaun Kids Dash!

• Age Group: This short course is untimed and designed for youth 8 and under.

🎁 Race Giveaways

Race giveaways for all participants include:

• Shirt: A commemorative short-sleeved blend shirt (while supplies last).
• Finisher’s Gift: A special finisher’s gift.
• Craft Beer: A craft beer from Oden Brewing (21+ up).

Awards ceremony will take place at Oden! By the way, we are family/stroller & pet friendly too!

👥 Volunteer & Spectate

You can also be a part of the fun without the run and volunteer or just come spectate! All are welcome at this event.

🎩 Best Dressed Leprechaun Contest

Think you've got what it takes to be the best dressed Leprechaun?

All are invited to participate. Top leprechaun, as decided by the judges, will receive a $75 gift card to Oden Brewing! Come dressed to impress!

🕒 Judging Details

Best dressed signups are 8:30 AM-10:30 AM race day ONLY with judging and awards immediately following the awards ceremony.
