Cannonball Running Festival Overview
Cannonball Running Festival is the LARGEST celebration of running in our region.
Race Distances
- Full Marathon: Experience the ultimate distance challenge.
- Half Marathon: Perfect for those who want to push themselves.
- 10K: A fun distance for runners of all levels.
- 5K: Ideal for beginners and families.
Event Location
The backdrop for the races is the gorgeous A & Y greenway in Greensboro, NC and Country Park. The start/finish for all events take place in Country Park, Greensboro's running Mecca.
Festival Atmosphere
- Celebration: A MUST DO for the course, the schwag, the glory, and the PARTY!
- Local Craft Breweries: Pour all day Saturday for participants and spectators.
- Beer Benefits: Two craft brews included with registration: funds support Brenner Children's.
- Post-Race Celebration: Enjoy live music, an awards ceremony, and activities.
The Double Barrel Challenge
The Double Barrel Challenge! The Friday night 5K allows the unique opportunity to race in the evening AND opens up the challenge of participating in either the 10K, half marathon or marathon on Saturday. Double Barrel Challenge participants receive two shirts and two custom finisher medals (one for each event), PLUS bonus bling for completing the Double Barrel Challenge. Not to mention extra beer and bragging rights!
Participant Perks
- Custom Finisher's Medal: All race participants will receive one (Kids dash will not receive a medal or shirt, but their own "goodies").
- T-Shirt: All participants receive a race t-shirt.
- Food and Beer: Food and beer (21 and up) for participants.
- Free Professional Photos: Enjoy free professional race photos.
