Event Details
- Participants: Join the Haw River Assembly as we run to protect our river! Walkers, runners, racers, and ramblers alike are all welcome!
- Race Options: Registered "Competitors" will participate in a 6K (3.6 mile) race around the Saxapahaw Island Loop Trail next to the scenic Haw River.
- Alternative: You can also register as a "Rambler" for a 1.2-mile, single loop.
- Celebration: Join us in celebrating the river we serve and protect all year round for Earth Month!
About the Haw River Assembly
- Mission: The Haw River Assembly is a 501(c)(3) non-profit citizens’ group founded in 1982 to restore and protect the Haw River and Jordan Lake.
- Goals: Our goals include promoting environmental education, conservation, and pollution prevention, and providing tools for effective guardianship of the river.
- Watershed: The scenic 110-mile Haw River is part of the headwaters of the Cape Fear River Basin and serves almost one million people.
