Great 5k and Paddlefest

Race Overview

The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s GREAT Program offers equine assisted services to children, teens, and adults with disabilities. Through certified instructors and trained volunteers, our program positively affects the physical, psychological, and social well-being of our students. GREAT offers diverse programs to local schools and hospitals as well as private lessons and summer camp programs.

Times & Location

• Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
• Location: Fox Creek Farms, 11958 Ellerbe Road, Shreveport, LA 71115
• 5K Start: 8:00 a.m.
• Paddlefest Start: 9:15 a.m.

Entry Fees

• 5K and Paddlefest: Entry Fee (includes 1 ticket to The GREAT Post Race Party): Early Registration is $50 until Sept. 19, $55 Sept. 20-Oct. 2, $60 race day.
• 5K ONLY: Entry Fee (includes 1 ticket to The GREAT Post Race Party): Early Registration is $35 until Sept. 19, $40 Sept. 20-Oct. 2, $45 race day.
• Paddlefest ONLY: Entry Fee (includes 1 ticket to The GREAT Post Race Party): Early Registration is $35 until Sept. 19, $40 Sept. 20-Oct. 2, $45 race day.
• Shirt Guarantee: You must register by September 18 to be guaranteed a race shirt.

Paddlefest Details

• Paddle Distance: Paddlefest portion will be a 2-mile paddle.
• Lifejackets: Lifejackets required for the paddlefest.
• Equipment: Bring your own paddleboard, kayak, or canoe for the paddlefest. If you are interested in renting one ($20), please call Caroline Hendrix at 318-564-5769.

Packet Pick-up

• Location: at Sportspectrum
• Date and Time: Thursday, October 1 from 12:00-6:00 pm
• Date and Time: Friday, October 2 from 10:00 am-5:00 pm
• Race Day: Pick up will be from 7:00-7:45 am at Fox Creek Farms.

Awards

• 5K Awards: Will be given to 1st overall 5K finishers male and female and in each of the following age groups: 18 & under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
• Paddlefest Awards: 1st overall Paddlefest finishers male and female paddleboard, kayak, and canoe.
• Kayak & Canoe Awards: 1st overall 2 person kayak and 1st overall 2 person canoe.

The GREAT Post Race Party

Join us for a post-race celebration at Fox Creek Farms. $15 gets you into the party where you can sample delicious food provided by Ki’ Mexico. There will be live music, drawings, door prizes, and lots of fun for the kids!
