OUR CAUSE
- Condition Description: Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little-known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy, and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too.
- Health Risks: SCAD can recur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
- Statistics: SCAD is the number one cause of heart attacks for women under the age of 50.
- T-Shirt Registration: Register by September 17, 2026 to be guaranteed this year's SCADaddle t-shirt.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
- Pre Packet Pick-Up: Friday, October 16, 2026 - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - The Gathering GVL, 126 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29601. All SCAD Survivors, Angels and Friends and Family are welcome to join the Meet and Greet at the Gathering GVL. The event will provide a casual atmosphere to meet other participants, socialize, and pick up race packets.
- Race Day Schedule: Saturday, October 17, 2026 - 8:00 - 9:00 am Registration and Packet Pick-up; 9:30 am Opening Ceremony; 10:00 am Race Starts - Prisma Health Welcome Center Opens - Browse, Vendors and SCAD Merch; 12:30 pm Awards.
- Weather Advisory: The SCADaddle takes place rain or shine. Come prepared by bringing your raincoat, umbrella, and sunscreen.
- No Refunds: There are NO refunds.
RACE DETAILS
- Chip Timing: We use a disposable chip timing tag that participants receive at packet pick-up on their race bibs. Runners/walkers must wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing to be timed accurately.
- Awards: Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female and the top male and top female in each age category: 0-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
- Packet Pick-Up: Packet pick-up begins at 8:00 am on race day. We will accept registrations during this time but cannot guarantee this year's t-shirt.
- Meet & Mingle: There is also an in-person pre-registration & early packet pick-up at the Meet & Mingle on October 16, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
