Race for Renewal

Race Overview

Join us for the 3rd Annual Race for Renewal 5K Walk/Run as we come together to support individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. The race will begin at 8:00 AM and all proceeds will benefit The Renewal Center of NELA, a community day shelter located in the heart of Monroe, Louisiana.

Mission of The Renewal Center

• Essential Services: The Renewal Center provides essential services and support to individuals in need, including meals, laundry services, Bible studies, case management, assistance obtaining vital documents, and connections to local resources.
• Support for Stability: Our mission is to help individuals move toward stability and self-sufficiency while offering hope and compassion along the way.
• Future Expansion: While our current facility limits our ability to provide emergency housing, we have a vision to expand our campus and offer even more resources and services on-site.
• Lasting Impact: With your support, we can continue making a lasting impact on homelessness in our community.

Registration Information

• Early Registration: Early registration is open through October 15, 2026, for $35 and includes a race day t-shirt.
• Late Registration: Late registration will continue through November 4, 2026, for $40 per person and does not include a t-shirt.
• Race Day Registration: Race day registration will also be available at Forsythe Park Pavilion 1 for $40 per person and does not include a t-shirt.
• Payment Methods: We will accept cash, check, PayPal, Cash App, and Venmo for on-site registration.
