About Operation Helping Hand
Operation Helping Hand (OHH) is a program where law enforcement plays an integral role in identifying individuals with substance use disorders and, together with community partners, serves as a point of entry into treatment and/or recovery support services.
- Outreach: Conducting door-to-door outreach or deploying the mobile van.
- Engagement: Law enforcement, accompanied by recovery support specialists, engages residents in need.
- Referrals: Providing on-the-spot referrals to treatment and other resources.
- Community Support: Dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use.
