1000 Mile BikeWalk for Prevention

Event Details

The 1000 Mile BikeWalk for Prevention will be held on October 31, 2026, Halloween morning. THIS IS A NEW DATE.

Description

• Event Type: The "Spooktacular" 1000 Miler is a regional fun ride/walk/run for the whole family.
• Participation: Not a timed race, participants will record distances to reach a cumulative goal of 1000 miles.
• Costumes: Halloween costumes and bike decorations are highly encouraged, including team participation.
• Routes: Long and short biking and walking circuits of 15, 5 miles, and a 1 mile route, plus a 1/2 mile Jr. BikeWaker route.

Prizes and Participation

• Awards: Prizes will be awarded for the greatest distance traveled during the event.
• Team Fundraising: Teams fundraising independently will receive bonus mileage based on their donations.
• Virtual Option: Registered virtual BikeWalkers can participate by registering online, even from home.

Organization Support

• BikeWalk Morristown: The organization supports individuals who want to share their active lifestyle.
• Fundraising Purpose: The event raises funds for the Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition.
• Impact: Activities enjoyed by individuals can reduce the tendency to turn to dangerous substances.

• Member Discount: Members of BikeWalk Morristown, TN receive a $5.00 discount on base registration fees.
