Race Description
- Family Tradition: A great local family tradition on Thanksgiving morning.
- Fast Course: Features a fast downhill first mile through Sugar Creek subdivision, perfect for PRs.
- Unique Finish: A young bagpiper from St Thomas Episcopal leads you to the finish area.
- First Race: The original Turkey Trot in the Houston area, reputed to be the best!
Packet Pickup Details
- Pickup Dates: Two days of Packet Pickup/Late Registration.
- Location: TBA on November 24, 2026, & Fleet Feet-Sugarland on November 25, 2026.
- Race Day: Packet pickup available for out-of-towners only. No race day registration allowed.
- Post-Race Party: Includes awards ceremony, costume contest, and snacks.

- Community Support: Benefits organizations like Fort Bend Rainbow Room, Bel Inizio, etc.
- Food Drive: Canned goods for East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry collected on Thanksgiving morning.

Event Times
- 7:30 a.m: Sean Scroggins’ Memorial Kids 1-Mile (ages 12-and-under).
- 8:00 a.m: Coach Andy's 5-Mile Race. Chip-timed with a 15:00 pace limit.
- 8:30 a.m: Aunt Jean's 2.8-Mile Family Walk and Jog. Non-competitive, no time limit.
- Safety: No bikes allowed for safety reasons.
Registration Details
- No Refunds: No refunds, transfers, or deferrals.
- Parking: Free parking available early in Sugar Creek Village Shopping Center.
- Photographer: Official race photographer is Lance and Sherri Phegley from www.RaceShots.net.
- Volunteers Needed: Check in at 6:30 a.m. at the Fort Bend Fit tent on Thanksgiving.
Medical Support
- Available: Sugar Land Fire Department EMTs present at finish line and throughout the course.
- Registration: All participants must register officially and display their race number visibly.
- Event Timing: For Coach Andy's 5-Mile Run, ensure your race number is visible at all times.
- Awards: For top finishers in various categories, awards ceremony at 9:00 a.m.
Entry Fees
- Kids 1-Mile Fee: $20 early, $25 in October, $30 in November.
- 5-Mile Race Fee: Starts at $35, increases through November.
- 2.8-Mile Walk Fee: Starts at $30, increases through November.
- Strollers: Allowed in Kids 1-Mile and 2.8-Mile only, not in the 5-Mile race.
