Race Overview
This event is co-hosted by the City of Newnan Leisure Services department and Main Street Newnan, in partnership to benefit the Newnan High School Record-Breaking Booster Club — NXC.
Race Course
- Starting Point: The race begins in Downtown Newnan.
- Scenic Route: Participants will run through “The City of Homes”, featuring beautiful historic in-town neighborhoods.
- Certification: The race is USATF certified.
- Timing: Chipped timing will be used!
Awards
- Overall Awards: Prizes for overall male and female finishers.
- Masters Awards: Prizes for overall masters male and female finishers.
- Age Group Awards: Top three finishers male/female in age groups ranging from 10 & under to 70 & over.
- USATF Certification: The 5K is certified (USATF 5K GA19040WC) and chipped timed.
Event Details and Schedule
- 6:30 am: On-site registration and check-in for registered runners and walkers.
- 7:30 am: Check-in & on-site registration ends.
- 8:00 am: 5K race starts.
- Packet Pickup: Late registration and early run packet pick-up for registered runners and walkers on Friday, September 4th from 10am-6pm at Dragonfly Running Co. at 10 Lagrange St, in Downtown Newnan.
