Course Description

• Course Type: Fast, level 5K run & walk course, through residential East Petersburg.
• Start/Finish Point: Begins and ends at East Petersburg Fire Hall located on Pine St.
• Location Details: One block east of Manheim Pike (Main St. Rt 72) and one block north of State St. (Rt 722).

Awards

• Medals: Medals for top finishers in each age group.
• Top Three: 5K Run medals to top three in each gender age group.
• Prize Money: Prize money for top three overall winners in male/female groups is $200/100/50.

Registration

• Onsite Registration: Walk up registrations accepted Friday 5-8p.
• Morning Registration: Starting at 7a at the Community Building on Pine Street.

• Cause: The East Pete Community Day 5K is supporting the Joy Among Mourning (JAM) Foundation.
• Foundation Purpose: A local nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and joy to those experiencing loss.

• Founder: Established in memory of Andrew Wagner, a Hempfield High School graduate.
• Legacy: Andrew’s family is committed to honoring his memory by creating moments of joy and connection.
• Community Spirit: Striving to carry forward Andrew’s spirit of joy and community.
