The JAM 5K Run/Walk at East Pete Day

Event Overview

The JAM 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for September 19, 2026, located at 6051 Pine Street, East Petersburg, PA. The race will feature a fast, level course through residential East Petersburg, beginning and ending at the East Petersburg Fire Hall.

Course Details

• Location: East Petersburg Fire Hall on Pine St., one block east of Manheim Pike (Main St. Rt 72) and one block north of State St. (Rt 722).
• Course Type: Fast, level 5K run & walk course.

Awards and Prizes

• Medals: Medals for top finishers in each age group.
• 5K Run Medals: Top three in each gender age group.
• Prize Money: $200/100/50 for top three overall winners in male/female groups.

Registration Information

• Walk-Up Registrations: Accepted Friday 5-8p and starting at 7a at the Community Building on Pine Street.

NEW THIS YEAR! The East Pete Community Day 5K is supporting the Joy Among Mourning (JAM) Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and joy to those experiencing loss.

About the JAM Foundation

• Established: In memory of Andrew Wagner, a Hempfield High School graduate whose life was tragically cut short in an automobile accident on July 18, 2010.
• Mission: His family is committed to keeping his memory alive by bringing people together to create moments of joy, laughter, and connection while giving back to those in need.
• Spirit: Andrew had a unique gift for brightening the lives of others.
• Goal: To help transform grief into purpose by bringing people together and raising funds for meaningful causes.

Beneficiary Organizations

Proceeds will benefit:

• Hempfield High School: Graduates pursuing higher education.
• Dravet Syndrome Foundation.
• 521 Club, Inc.
