• Event Name: 17th Annual East End Sizzler “Stride to End Childhood Cancer”

Registration Details

• Start Time: Registration begins at 7:00 am
• End Time: Registration ends 10 minutes before the race starts
• Race Start Time: Both 5K and 10K will begin at 8:00 am
• Race Type: This will be a chip-timed race

Course Information

• Time Limit: There is a course time limit of 2 hours
• Awards: Top 3 males and females in each age category will be recognized
• Age Categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
• Event: Awards will be for both the 5K and the 10K

T-shirt Information

• Deadline: T-shirt deadline is September 5, 2026
• Size Availability: Shirts will be given out first-come, first-serve
• Post-Deadline Registration: Efforts will be made to provide shirts in registered sizes after the deadline
• Distribution: While supplies last

Community Support

• Beneficiary: Funds support Ronald McDonald House for families of hospitalized children
• Additional Support: Donations to The Brooklyn Project Foundation
• Foundation Mission: Furthering research and clinical trials for childhood cancer patients
• Local Impact: Providing funding to the Innovative Therapies Program at Arkansas Children’s Hospital

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. No child deserves cancer. Yet lymphomas, leukemias, and other forms of the disease common in children are the stark reality for many youth – and their families. There is both heartache and hope.
