Join our community for the 3rd Annual Stride for a Cure 5K Walk/Run as we move together to honor survivors, support those currently fighting, and raise awareness for breast cancer prevention and early detection.
The 3rd Annual Stride for a Cure 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness brings our community together to move with purpose, honor survivors, and raise awareness about the importance of early detection.
The event is hosted by Dr. Kim Leverett, breast cancer survivor and owner of A Kick Above: A Personal Training Studio. With a background as a pharmacist and personal trainer, Dr. Leverett is passionate about helping people take control of their health through movement, education, and prevention.
In 2013, after a routine mammogram, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout chemotherapy and radiation, she continued training clients and staying active, drawing strength from her faith, fitness, and community support.
Now cancer-free since 2014, she is committed to empowering others to prioritize their health and encouraging women to stay proactive with screenings and wellness.
Stride for a Cure was created to bring people together in hope, strength, and action.
Net proceeds from this event benefit the Arkansas Cancer Coalition, supporting cancer education, prevention, and screening initiatives across the state.
Every step taken today helps move us closer to a cure.
