About the Turkey Shuffle

This November, lace up your running shoes and join us for the Turkey Shuffle, a delightful race set amidst the serene beauty of Texas parks and greenbelts. As autumn paints the landscape with vibrant hues, participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in the stunning fall colors while enjoying a well-organized and festive running experience.

Race Distances

• 1-Mile: Designed for all ages and experience levels. Not chip timed and includes a tee shirt and race medal.
• 5K: A 3.11-mile chip-timed race featuring awards for overall male and female finishers.
• 10K: A 6.22-mile chip-timed race with awards for overall male and female finishers.
• Kids Dash: Designed for children 10 and under, approximately a 50-meter sprint. Not timed and includes a tee shirt, race medal, and exclusive recognition pin.

Entertainment

• DJ Sasquatch: Will keep the energy high with a fantastic playlist throughout the run.
• Costume Contest: Dress up in your most creative Thanksgiving-themed costume for a chance to win an impressive trophy.
• Recognition: Every runner will be celebrated with awards honoring personal achievements and dedication.
• Post-Race Snacks: Refreshments will be available after the race at the rally tent.

Awards and Prizes

• Awards: Age group awards for all distances and special recognition for overall winners.
• Costume Contest Prizes: Includes a trophy, gift cards, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack.
• Finisher Medals: All participants will receive a medal and shirt upon completion.

Event Schedule

7:30-8:40 AM: Packet Pickup ends 20 minutes after the race.

8:55 AM: Kids Dash (Meet at the Start Line).

9:00 AM: National Anthem and Race Start!

Live results and awards will be available at the registration tent immediately following your finish.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Course Monitor: Help ensure participant safety and cheer on runners.
• Water Station: Prepare and distribute water cups to participants.
• Turtle/Sweeper: Encourage the last runner and help with course management.
• Packet Pickup: Assist with registration tasks and share in the excitement of race day.

• Packet Pickup: Offered for 1.5 hours before the event start time.
• Mixed Surfaces: Expect to run on pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
