Miles for Minds: 5k and 1 Mile Literacy Quest

Event Overview

Miles for Minds is a community driven initiative built on a simple belief: Make reading fun.

Main Events

• In-person 5k run/walk: Chip timed event located at the Historic Band Shell in East Park.
• Virtual 5k: Not chip timed, submissions for completion will be accepted on the day of the event from 5:00am to 10:00pm.
• Literacy Quest: A 1-mile activity walk with multiple stations themed around favorite children's books.

Race Details

The 5k route will follow the trails of East Park, showcasing the beautiful Winnebago, and will end in a sprint finish in front of the band shell. The wild after the 5k includes a family, untimed, literacy themed, Literacy Quest walk.

Food and Amenities

• Food Availability: Enjoy delicious food from a local favorite food truck, The LaHa sisters.
• Medals: Medals for the digital 5k can be picked up at a later date at an announced location.
