Event Overview
Kansas City's first and only 5K to benefit Hospice and Palliative Care!
Mission
- Purpose: To raise awareness and support for Hospice and Palliative Care.
- Beneficiaries: Specifically benefiting those at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice of Topeka and Lawrence.
- Impact: Since the 2014 inaugural race, Heroes for Hospice has raised and donated a net $248,000 to the two hospice houses!
Race Details
- Date: June 6, 2026
- Location: Starting and finishing at REI in Prairiefire, Overland Park, KS.
- Route: A fun route around the Lions Gate Golf Course.
- Participants: Runners, walkers, and stroller/wagon riders are all welcome to join!
Awards and Perks
- Awards: Given to the top overall male/female winners and overall male/female masters runners following the race.
- Shirts: All registered participants receive a complimentary Heroes for Hospice race shirt.
