Coach Yantis 5K Turkey Trot

🦃 Race Overview

• Event: Coach Yantis 5K Turkey Trot is held the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving in memoriam of Brad Yantis.
• Beneficiaries: Contributes to his MNU endowment scholarship, The American Cancer Society-Hope Lodge KC, and Olathe Public Schools grants.

📅 Event Details

• Who: All are welcome to join in on the 5K Turkey Trot. Timing chips will be given to all participants.
• When: Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at 9 a.m.
• Where: Cunningham Center at MidAmerica Nazarene University

📦 Check-In Information

• Check-In: Race packet, bib, timing chip and t-shirt pick-up will start at 8 a.m. on race day inside the foyer of Cunningham Center.
• Updates: An informational email will be sent to participants two weeks prior to the race with specific updated details.

🥫 Food Drive

• Donation: Participants are encouraged to bring 3-5 non-perishable food items for the local Salvation Army Outpost food pantry.
• Drop Off: Please bring items with you on race morning and drop them off at the donations table.

🎓 Scholarship Info

• Established: The Yantis family started a scholarship endowment in 2020 for future athletes at Brad's alma mater, MidAmerica Nazarene University.
• Support: The scholarship has been awarded to MNU students for the last three years.
• Continuation: In 2023, a percentage of the race funds will support the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge KC.
