RACE DIRECTOR NOTE: Due to the increases in our Country in many of the expenses involved in this event (t-shirts, screen charges, medals, trophy parts, safety personnel etc...) we are forced to have to increase our registration prices. For 35 years I have tried to price my events reasonable or in line with (usually lower) than surrounding events and we still are lower with this event than surrounding half-marathons on Delmarva. • 5k Entry (Sunday): $30 through Sunday 10/11/26 at midnight: $35 through Saturday, 10/24/26 at midnight: $40 Limited Race-Day Registration from 7:30 am - 8:50 am. Make Checks Payable to: “Seashore Striders.”
• 1m Fright Walk Entry (Sunday): $25 through Sunday 10/11/26 at midnight: $30 through Saturday, 10/24/26 at midnight: $35 Limited Race-Day Registration from 7:30 am - 8:50 am. Make Checks Payable to: “Seashore Striders.”
• Universal or Paper Entry Form: Mail entry form/payment to: Seashore Striders/Seashore Classic: 9 Gander Lane: Lewes, DE 19958. Entry needs to be received by Monday, October 19, 2026 to guarantee race t-shirt.

Race Course

• 5k Course: Grove Park course through the pines of Northside Rehoboth.
• Fright Walk: 1 mile Fright Walk starts with the 5k and does an out & back on Henlopen Avenue.

Pasta Dinner Option & Packet Pickup

• Packet Pick-up: Friday, October 23rd from 4-6 pm.
• Location: Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant invites all runners to pre-race carb load from 4-6 pm with several pasta dinner options available.

Silent Auction at the 5k on Sunday

The Grove Park Running/Walking Club will be holding a silent auction pre-race until the awards presentation begins. The funds raised will support our annual scholarship awarded to a track and field Cape Graduate. All items are new and include categories such as home décor, kitchen items, baby clothing, and jewelry. Get your holiday shopping started early with some amazing bargains. Payment is accepted via cash, check, or Zelle.

Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

Long sleeve 100% Cotton Pre-Shrunk Race shirts, cool custom awards, two great courses, costume contest on Sunday.

• 5K Water Stops: Start 0.0m & Finish 3.1m at the Grove Park: 2.0m at the 4th & Henlopen Ave location.
• 5K Portable Toilets: Start 0.0m & Finish 3.1m at the Grove Park.

Race-Day Event Schedule

Sunday's 5k Classic & 1m Fright Walk:

• 7:30 am: Limited "Last Chance" Race-Day Registration at Start/Finish area.
• 8:40 am: "Parade of Costumes" from small pavilion to large pavilion on the trail.
• 8:50 am: Line-up & Final Announcements.
• 9:00 am: Start of 5k & 1m walk Event.
• 10:15 am: Award Ceremony.

Parking

• Location: Sunday’s 5k & 1m walk- Grove Park, Henlopen Ave, Rehoboth Ave....Rehoboth.

Awards

• 5k Classic: Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following age groups: 9 & U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
• 1m Fright Walk: This is a non-competitive 1 mile walk with no awards.
• Pickup: Awards not picked up at the race can also be available during the week locally. Contact tim@seashorestrider.com to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony. Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check/cash/venmo for $10 to cover postage.
