Event Overview
- Event Origin: Heeeeee's Baaaaccccckkkkk! In 2023 Brett Sobieraski ran a marathon a day from Florida to New York, raising over $100K for the family of fallen Rochester Police Department Officer, Anthony Mazurkiewicz.
- Challenge Concept: After hearing about a young man in Australia running around a track for charity, Brett decided to take on a similar challenge.
- Charity Selection: Community Action of Orleans and Genesee was chosen as the charity since it focuses on giving hand-ups, not handouts.
- Community Support: Community Action is in need of funding due to government cutbacks. Join the effort to help continue their impactful work.
Goals
- Fundraising Target: Raise $20,000 for Community Action of Orleans & Genesee.
- Running Distance: Support Brett's effort to run 55 miles for 7 days on various tracks in Orleans, Genesee, and Monroe Counties.
- Finale Participation: Join Brett on the 8th day for the final 15 miles to complete a total of 400 miles.

- July 20th: Batavia HS - 55 Miles (7AM - 5PM)
- July 21st: East Rochester HS - 55 Miles (Special Remembrance Day for Fallen Officers)
- July 22nd: Kendal HS - 55 Miles
- July 23rd: Medina HS - 55 Miles
- July 24th: Holley HS - 55 Miles
- July 25th: Albion HS (8AM-11AM) - The Grand Finale 15 Miles
Run Details
The timeframe for the runs is 7AM to 7PM unless otherwise noted, with the goal of completing 55 miles each day. On the final day, Brett will run 15 miles starting at 8AM.
Anyone is welcome to join Brett during the times mentioned above. Participants can choose any distance to run or walk during the allocated timeframe. Join for 1 lap or run alongside Brett for the entire distance. A virtual challenge is also available where individuals can run or walk for 55 minutes each day of the venture.
Special Remembrance
Please Note: On Tuesday, July 21st at East Rochester Track, the day will honor Fallen Officers Daryl Pierson, Anthony Mazurkiewicz, and Jamieson Ritter.
