About this race
Good Neighbor Relay
The Good Neighbor Relay is a community endurance event built around teamwork, movement, and giving back. Whether you run every loop, walk every mile, or mix a little of both, this event is designed to bring people together in support of our neighbors in need.
Event Details
Held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Pike County Stadium, teams of two will take turns completing a mostly trail-based loop of approximately 3 miles. While one teammate is out on the course, the other rests and recovers at home base before being tagged in for the next loop.
Event Options
- 12 Hour Relay: Starts at 7:00 AM and concludes at 7:00 PM
- 6 Hour Relay: Starts at 9:00 AM and concludes at 3:00 PM
- Checkout: The total amount paid at checkout covers both participants in the event.
Kids' Fun Run
In addition to the relay events, an informal kid fun run will take place at 12:00 PM to encourage families and children to be part of the experience. We are asking for a $10 donation to participate in the fun run.
Beneficiaries
All proceeds will benefit the Pike County Free Lunch Program and Backpack Buddies of Georgia, two organizations working to fight food insecurity in our community. The Pike County Free Lunch Program is currently operating at a $38,000 deficit, making community support more important than ever.
Goal
The goal of the Good Neighbor Relay is simple: promote community involvement, encourage healthy lifestyles, foster teamwork, and support local organizations serving families in need.
Participant Information
- Registration: All participants who register before September 4th will receive an event t-shirt. Participants who register after September 4th are not guaranteed a shirt.
- Home Base: Teams are encouraged to set up a home base area at the track during the event.
- Cleanup: Each team will receive a large trash bag and is expected to clean up their area before leaving.
- Mindset: We believe in the mindset: Leave it better than you found it.
We are offering an early bird discount through August 14th. Prices will increase $15 per person after this date.
Event Notes
- Cupless: This is a cupless event — please bring a reusable water bottle.
