Holo Kahakai 5K, 10K or 1/2 Marathon Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Join Big Island Road Runners on Saturday June 13, 2026 starting at 7:00 am for the Holo Kahakai Fun Run.

📏 Race Distances

• Distances: 5k, 10k and ½ marathon.
• Location: Ocean front Kahakai Park in Pahoa.
• Route: Run/walk through dappled sunlight under the canopy of old growth mango and lauhala trees along scenic Old Govt Beach Rd.
• Half Marathon Route: Will run to HWY 132 then up the Hwy about 1 mile before turning around and coming back the same way.

🕖 Schedule

• Start Time: Meet at Kahakai Park in Pahoa – Run starts at 7:00 AM sharp.
• End Time: Event ends at 10:30 AM.

🗺️ Directions

From HWY 130 take Kahakai Blvd which is just past the Pahoa Roundabout. Follow to the very end where you will run into the park.

💧 Aid Stations

• Self-serve: Aid Stations will be provided but bring your own hydration in case it is hot.
• Post-Race: Water and Snacks at the end.

💵 Registration Fees

Free to BIRR members, $10 donation for non-members.
