About the Race
Run for the rare! Join us for the Zebra Run 5k, a powerful race bringing our community together in Michigan for a special mid-year event - and across the country through our virtual race option. Participants have the option to choose if their fundraising efforts go towards adrenal cancer research at the University of Michigan or the NIH.
Dr. Gary Hammer, a leader in adrenocortical carcinoma research from the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, and Dr. Jaydira Del Rivero, a leading physician-scientist and adrenocortical carcinoma expert at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will both be in attendance in Michigan. Their participation reflects the Adrenal Cure Collective's commitment to fostering collaboration between the scientific community and the patients whose lives depend on continued research.
Race Overview
This isn’t just a run. It’s a movement. Hosted by the Adrenal Cure Collective, the Zebra Run 5k is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for adrenal cancer - a rare disease that affects just one in a million people, yet carries a devastating impact on patients and families. This year, we are expanding our reach.
Participation Options
- In-Person Race - Michigan: Join us on the ground for an unforgettable day of community, connection, and purpose. Expect an energizing atmosphere, meaningful moments, and the chance to run side by side with fellow supporters, patients, and families. This race will be timed.

Why We Run
- We run for: those currently fighting.
- We run in: memory of those we’ve lost.
- We run because: adrenal cancer cannot be ignored.
Every step taken and every dollar raised goes toward advancing critical research and supporting the adrenal cancer community. Together, we are one in a million - but we are not alone.
