Race Overview

UltraTrax is excited to bring the ultimate long distance walking challenge to Alpine Valley! Experience the beautiful course that winds through forested hillsides, twisting single-track, and steady ascents that showcase the natural beauty of Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack.

Distance Options

• Choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles.
• Completion requirement: Finish in 10 hours to earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal.
• Bonus swag: Toss on a 10, 20, or 35-lb weighted vest or ruck for extra swag and bragging rights.
• Support: The course will be extremely well marked with well-stocked aid stations.

Trek Day Information

UltraTrax Alpine Valley kicks off at 7am on October 9, 2027. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 9/15/2027, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend.

• Weight requirement: If you signed up to carry weight, you will need to bring your own vest/backpack. We will weigh it the morning of the event.
• Exclusions: Everything counts toward the total except perishable items.
• Parking: Complimentary parking is available onsite.
• Finisher rewards: Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt, UltraTrax patch, and medal (this year all levels qualify to earn a medal!).

Tips for Email Users:

• Gmail Users: Check your Promotions or Spam folder after registering, move UltraTrax emails into your Primary inbox, and click “Not Spam” if needed.
• Yahoo Users: Open any UltraTrax email and click “Not Spam”, then add both email addresses to your Yahoo Contacts.
• Apple Mail/iPhone/Outlook: Add both email addresses to your Contacts app/Safe Senders list, check Junk folders, and mark emails as “Not Junk”.
• iCloud Mail: Move UltraTrax emails into your inbox if they appear in Junk.
