A Mile to Remember
Join us in the heart of Laurens, SC, for A Mile to Remember, a powerful and meaningful race honoring the lives lost and the heroes who rose on September 11, 2001. This one-mile event is more than a run: it is a tribute, a challenge, and a community coming together in remembrance and support of our first responders.
Race Course
- Starting Point: The race will begin at the historic mile marker near Todd Avenue and Pinehaven Street.
- Finish Line: The finish will be at the historic courthouse on the square in downtown Laurens.
- Course Type: With a net downhill course, this is guaranteed to be the fastest mile in Laurens.
- Participants: Perfect for runners chasing a personal best or anyone looking to push their limits for a meaningful cause.
Who Can Participate
Participants of all levels are welcome. Run, walk, or jog as we honor those who sacrificed everything and show our unwavering support for the brave men and women who continue to serve our communities every day.
Event Details
- Packet Pickup: 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM - Courthouse Plaza
- Race Start: 6:00 PM
- Starting Line: Todd Ave. and Main St.
- Finish Line: Historic Courthouse Square, Downtown Laurens
Parking & Transportation
- Parking: Please plan to park in one of the public parking lots around the downtown square upon arrival.
- Shuttle Service: Shuttle transportation will be provided from the finish line back to the starting point.
- Last Shuttle: Last shuttle departs at 5:45 PM sharp.
