Achilles Nashville 13th Annual Hope & Possibility® Race
Join us as we come together to celebrate hope! With hope anything is possible!
About Hope & Possibility
- Founded: Hope & Possibility® was founded in 2003 by Trisha Meili, author of I Am the Central Park Jogger, A Story of Hope and Possibility.
- Inclusivity: The race welcomes athletes of all abilities, from elite runners to walkers to wheelers.
- Belief: Founded on the belief that sports competitions unite people of all abilities, all colors, and all backgrounds.
- Participation: Athletes with disabilities can walk, run, or roll to promote personal achievement, healthy living, and active lifestyles.
Achilles Nashville Highlights
- Empowerment: Since 2012, Achilles Nashville has empowered over 300 athletes with disabilities to participate in mainstream running events.
- Celebration: We celebrate and honor those who have overcome enormous challenges.
- Future: Continuing the work towards a more inclusive tomorrow.
- Involvement: Join us as we make strides for inclusivity in the running community.
Race Options
In-Person & Virtual 1-Miler or 5-Miler:
- In-Person: For local participants, run with Achilles Nashville on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Richland Park Greenway.
- Virtual: Participate anytime from Friday, September 4, to Sunday, September 6.
- Accessibility: No need to submit time for the 5-miler virtual run.
- Event Location: The race will start and finish at the trailhead on the Richland Creek Greenway (5100 Wyoming Ave, Nashville, TN 37209).
Schedule of Events
- 6:45 AM: Tribute to Nashville's First Responders, National Anthem by Jennifer Schott, announcements.
- 7:00 AM: HANDCYCLE & RACING CHAIR (front) PUSHRIM WHEELCHAIR (after handcycles) start.
- 7:02 AM: 5-miler start.
- 7:05 AM: 1-miler start: wheeled athletes in front.

- Wednesday, September 2: McCabe Community Center (101 46th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37209) 4:00 pm-7:00 pm.
- Friday, September 4: McCabe Community Center (101 46th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37209) 3:00 pm-6:00 pm.
- T-shirt Size: Register before August 1st to guarantee your t-shirt size.
