About this race
Join us for the Sunshine & Hope 5K Run/Walk, a special day of remembrance, community, and hope held in memory of Warrick Barfield and benefiting the SUDC Foundation. Together, we will honor Warrick's life and the lives of children gone too soon while raising awareness and support for families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).
The day will begin with registration and check-in, followed by welcome remarks and a heartfelt moment of remembrance. Families with young children are invited to participate in the Children's "Shooting Star Dash" before runners and walkers take to the course for the Sunshine & Hope 5K.
Following the race, participants can enjoy finish-line refreshments, family-friendly activities, sponsor recognition, and award presentations. The celebration will continue with a family festival featuring opportunities to connect, remember, and support an important cause.
A registration fee of $20 for all participants over the age of 5 will be donated directly to the SUDC Foundation.
