Get ready for the 6th Hoover Prairie Run held in conjunction with Hoover’s Hometown Days on Aug. 8, 2026, at 8:00 AM.

Race Details

• Event: 5K Prairie Run on the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site.
• Terrain: Mown, hilly grass trails through beautiful Tall-Grass Prairie and a mix of paved and grass paths.
• Path for Walkers: 1.5K path around the Hoover Presidential Library and Museum grounds, and the Presidential Gravesite.
• Registration: Online registration is open through August 6th: in-person registration from 7:15-8:00 AM on race day.

Registration Fees

• By July 25: $30 for the 5K run: $20 for the 1.5K walk.
• After July 25: $35 for the run: $25 for the walk.
• Inclusions: Each paid registrant by July 25 will receive a t-shirt.
• On-site registration: Begins on August 8: cash or check only.

Event Amenities

• Water Stations: Available on the running route.
• Post-race: Water and a snack will be provided at the conclusion of the race.
• Awards: Medals for top 3 male and female runners in each age group in the 5K.
• No Pets: Please leave pets at home.

Event Schedule

• 7:15 AM: Check-in and same-day registration (cash or check only).
• 8:00 AM: GO!
• 9:00 AM: Awards ceremony.
