I Thought Turkeys Could Fly 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

This will be the sixth running of the “I Thought Turkeys Could Fly” 5k. The proceeds this year will benefit the DUMA Food Bank.

📍 Course Information

• Certification: The USATF certified course will begin and end on North General Lee Ave by Tyler Park in Dunn, NC.
• Course Profile: The course is flat and fast with only 56 ft of elevation change and a downhill finish.
• Date: The race is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026.
• Time: The race will start at 8:00 a.m. and will be chip timed.

🏅 Awards

• Overall Medals: Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall female and male.
• Age Group Medals: Age group medals will be given to females and males based on USATF 10 year groupings: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

🤝 Series Participation

This race will be the third of a Harnett County series, partnered with races in Erwin and Coats. Sign up for all three using the "Bundle" option and save some money! Bundle registration will only be offered until 4/30/25 when the registration for the first race closes.
