Silver Bells 5K

Event Overview

Join us for the 14th Annual Silver Bells 5K Race, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network. Enjoy the start of the holiday season with a 5K race to celebrate Silver Bells in the City, Lansing's signature event. Participants will be able to run/walk the 5K marked course in downtown Lansing.

Costume Contest

• Categories: Holiday traditional, festive sweater and holiday movies.
• Check-in: If you would like to take part in the contest, please check in at the Blue Cross Blue Shield tent by 8:45 AM.
• Photography: Volunteers will be taking pictures of the contestants.
• Winners: Announced via email after the race, with prizes mailed to individuals.

Proceeds Benefits

Any realized proceeds benefit the Chris and Louise Holman Foundation and Silver Bells in the City. To date, more than $66,000 has been donated to local organizations that support at-risk youth in our Mid-Michigan communities.

Packet Pickup Schedule

• Friday, November 20: at Playmakers in Okemos from 4 PM until 7 PM.
• Saturday, November 21: on the Capitol Lawn from 8 AM until 9 AM.
• Packet Pickup: You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf.
• Parking: Race day parking is available on City of Lansing street side at no cost.

Awards

Age group awards will be available at the BCBS tent after the event and are awarded to the top 3 in each age group. Age groups are every 5 years.
