• 5K Start: Waves from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM
• 1 Mile Start: 9:00 AM
• Competitive 5K Wave: 7:30 AM
• Sensory 5K Start: 8:10 AM

About the Event

UF Health Jacksonville's 12th Annual Turkey Trot 5K for Brain Injury Awareness will take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026 in Atlantic Beach, FL. By participating in Turkey Trot 5K, you advance lifesaving care during the early critical stages of the injury and support the holistic care of traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors in our community.

Race Packet Pick-Up

• Days: Tuesday and Wednesday, November 24th and 25th
• Location: Dune House Hotel & Spa, 1 Ocean Blvd. Atlantic Beach
• Tuesday Hours: 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM
• Wednesday Hours: 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM

Awards

All Participants will receive a finisher medal and a keepsake, reusable water cup, sponsored by Contoura Plastic Surgery.

• Costume Contest: Best costumes will be awarded.
• Highest Fundraiser: Recognition for top fundraisers.
• Team Awards: Largest Team based on registration.
• 5K Age Group Awards: Top 3 finishers in each age group for male & female.

Proceeds from the UF Health Jacksonville Turkey Trot are an investment in vital, lifesaving work at UF Health Jacksonville, in our community and across the region. Funds raised through the Turkey Trot have supported:

• Housing and Transportation: 100+ patients in the UF Health Jacksonville Program.
• Equine Program: 44 patients in the equine program, enhancing therapeutic recovery.
• Transcranial Doppler: Purchase of essential monitoring equipment for TBI patients.
• Staff Training: Training courses for essential skills in TBI care.
