Race Overview

• 43rd Running: This will be the 43rd running of the Thanksgiving Distance Classic.
• Inception: The event started in 1984 with 500 runners in the half marathon.
• Course History: The half marathon course was point to point in the first year.
• Finish Location: The race finishes at Pickwick Park Shopping Center.

Event Details

• Large Participation: One of the largest fall running events in Jacksonville, with over 4,000 participants.
• Tradition: A Thanksgiving morning event that has become a tradition for many families.
• Fundraising: The event is a major fundraiser for the Mandarin Food Bank.
• Community Impact: Funds will help build and maintain a new three-mile running/walking path in Aterro Recreation Park.

Packet Pickup

• Pickup Days: Packets will be available for pickup on Tuesday, November 24th and Wednesday, November 25th.
• Pickup Times: Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Location: At your selected 1st Place Sports location.
