About the Race

• Annual Event: This is an annual 5K race in Smyrna to support the Campbell High School Educational Foundation and Support Smyrna.
• USATF Certified: The race features a certified route starting and finishing at Smyrna City Hall.
• Fast Course: This out and back route on Atlanta Road is known for being flat and fast.
• AJC Qualifying: It's a great race for qualifying times for the AJC Peachtree Road Race.

Awards

• First Place: Kenny's Key Lime Pies will be awarded to all first-place finishers.
• Categories: Awards for Overall and Master’s Men's and Women's Finishers, as well as top 3 Male and Female finishers in multiple age groups.
• Eligibility: Only "Timed" 5K participants qualify for Overall & Age Group awards.
• Finisher Ribbons: All 1K and Tot Trot finishers will receive ribbons.

Race Registration

• Online Registration: Participants can register online for the Jonquil City Jog 5K, 1K, and Tot Trot until the day of the race.
• Pick-Up: Race number pick-up starts at 6:45am on race day at Smyrna City Hall.
• Group Discounts: Groups of 10 or more can get a $3.00 discount on 5K registration if registered online.
• No Guarantee: There is no guarantee for the correct T-shirt size for participants registering on race day.

Race Schedule

• 6:45am: Race Day Registration & Race Number pick-up begins.
• 8:00am: 5K Start in front of War Memorial.
• 9:00am: Approximately 1K Fun Run Start at flag poles in front of Smyrna City Hall.
• 9:15am: Approximately Tot Trot at flag poles in front of Smyrna City Hall.

Race Parking

• Available Parking: There is ample parking in the lots surrounding downtown Smyrna Business District.
• Race Location: Use the address for Smyrna City Hall - 2800 King Street: Smyrna, GA 30080 to find the race site.

Race Directions

• Access: From I-285, exit onto Atlanta Road heading north toward downtown Smyrna.
• Parking Signs: Follow signs for race parking on the left side of the road after crossing Spring Road/Concord Road.
• Traffic Alert: Expect traffic impacts along Atlanta Road between the Smyrna Community Center and Campbell Middle School during the race.

Policy for Strollers & Baby Joggers

The Jonquil Jog is a family-friendly event, with a 1K and Tot Trot for the kids. The 5K route is primarily out and back on Atlanta Road with vehicle traffic in the adjacent lane. Therefore, we DO NOT consider that a safe environment for a child in a stroller or baby jogger. You will have to make that decision regarding the safety of your family and accept any responsibility for the results of your decision.
