What is the Corpuscle Shuffle 5K

• Event Description: The ImpactLife Corpuscle Shuffle 5K Run & Walk is a highlight of the fall season for ImpactLife staff members, blood donors, volunteers, and supporters.
• Location: Participants gather on an October Saturday to start their day with a 5-kilometer or 1-mile jaunt through the hills on city streets near our headquarters.
• Post-Race Gathering: Following the race, everyone regroups at the nearby Five Cities Brewery for our awards ceremony and post-race party.
• Complimentary Breakfast: Five Cities opens early for our event, offering a complimentary breakfast for participants.

Fundraising Impact

• Annual Fundraising: With the support of our sponsors and race registrations, the Corpuscle Shuffle annually raises more than $20,000.
• LifeSavings Grant: Proceeds support the blood center's LifeSavings Grant program.
• Grant Distribution: Schools hosting blood drives with ImpactLife receive a grant of $250, plus $1 for each registered blood donor.
• Usage of Funds: Grants can be used for books, equipment, scholarships, or donations to other causes.

Race Details

• Course Features: The 5k course will feature mile markers and will be patrolled at key intersections by Bettendorf Police Department and race volunteers.
• Timing: It is a chip timed event.

After Party

• Location: FIVE CITIES BREWING (2255 Falcon Ave, Bettendorf)
• Time: 10AM - NOON
• Join Us: Join us after the Corpuscle Shuffle for an after race party! All ages welcome.
• Free Pint: One free pint for race participants presenting their race bib at after race party.
