Race Overview

• Location: Hosted on the Ecusta Trail — a former railroad corridor transformed into a shared-use greenway connecting Hendersonville and Brevard.
• Inclusions: A one mile fun run/walk and a family-friendly 5K.
• Purpose: To create an inclusive, meaningful race-day experience for participants of all ages and abilities.

About the Ecusta Trail

• Historical Significance: Follows a historic railroad corridor that once served as an important transportation route through Western North Carolina.
• Focus: Represents connection, access, and transformation, linking communities while preserving the history of the region.
• Experience: The Railway Races honors the legacy of this corridor while inviting participants to experience it on foot.
• Event Design: Part of a thoughtfully designed running event.
