School is almost back in session — but first, let’s send summer out with one more fast and fun 5K.

Join us for the 2026 Pinch A Penny Back to School Summer Classic 5K, where summer energy meets back-to-school spirit. Whether you’re chasing a PR, running with friends, or bringing the family out for a fun morning, this race is for you.

This year’s race starts and finishes at Pinch A Penny in Mandarin and features a fast, straightforward course that’s great for both competitive runners and casual participants. Throw on your best back-to-school spirit, bring the energy, and kick off the season with the Florida Striders.

What You Get

• Finisher medals guaranteed to the first 300 5K finishers

• Race shirts for the first 300 5K registrants

• A water station on the course plus post-race refreshments

Race-day pickup will be available, but shirts are only guaranteed with pre-race pickup.

Online registration closes at noon on Thursday, July 30, but you can still register at either 1st Place Sports location until 5:00 PM on Friday, or on race morning beginning at 6:00 AM.
