Junior Trailblazer Training Programs
The Cowtown Trailblazers are excited to introduce a new training tier specifically for motivated high school distance runners ages 14–17 who are ready to train for a half marathon in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Beginning this July as part of our Winter Trailblazer Program, student-athletes will have the opportunity to build endurance, improve speed, gain confidence, and experience the excitement of training alongside the larger Cowtown running community.
Program Details
- Weekly Detailed Schedule: A structured outline of training activities provided to participants.
- Saturday Long Runs: 6:30 AM
- Weekly supported long runs on different routes throughout Fort Worth with water stops, Gatorade, and GU provided.
- Tuesday Speed Workouts: 6:30 PM at TCU

This program is ideal for cross country runners, track athletes, and dedicated young runners looking to safely prepare for a half marathon while learning proper training habits, consistency, and teamwork.
