Lansing Turkey Trot

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Start Time: 9 am on Thanksgiving Morning.
• Flexible Start Line: Start the 5K run/walk any time between 9:00 and 9:10am. Timing starts when you cross the mats!
• Location: 500 N Grand Ave, Lansing, MI

🚗 Parking Information

• Parking Location: The Lansing Community College parking ramp will be open and available for parking!
• Free Parking: Ample free parking in the Lansing Community College ramp.
• Easy Access: Exit the ramp before the last runner has finished.
• Volunteer Support: Volunteers will guide you in and out.

💰 Registration Fees

• Entry Fee: $30 until November 19 (shirt guaranteed), $35 from November 20th to November 26th (shirts while supplies last).
• Family Discount: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3/person until November 19.
• Registration Requirement: Be sure to preregister: there is no race day registration.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Pickup Location: At Playmakers, Tuesday 11/25 and Wednesday 11/26 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Address: Playmakers community center, 2299 West Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864.
• Race Day Pickup: Begins at 7:30 am at Lansing Community College, Gannon building, first floor.

🏅 Awards and Results

• Results: Your chip time, overall and age group placement will be sent to your phone.
• Age Group Awards: Medals to top 3 in age groups 10 & under to 85+.
• Overall Awards: Medal and $50 Playmakers gift certificate to Male and Female Overall, Master (Over 40), Grand Master (Over 50).
• Awards Availability: Awards will be available race day at the awards table starting at 9:45 am.

🎽 Virtual Race Option

• Participation: Sign up for the virtual race if you can't attend in person.
• Dates: Run your virtual race any time from November 22 to November 30.
• Cost: $35, includes shipping of shirt and bib.
• Registration Deadline: Closes on November 19: packets mailed by November 24.

🌟 Charity Support

• Proceeds: Go to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, and Youth Running Clubs.
• Organization: Supported through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.
