Lansing Turkey Trot

🎉 Race Information

• Start Time: 9 am on Thanksgiving Morning.
• Location: 500 N Grand Ave, Lansing, MI.
• Date: 2025-11-27.

🏃‍♀️ Race Details

• Open Start Line: Start the 5K run/walk any time between 9:00 and 9:10 am. Faster runners line up in the front.
• Wide Area: The starting line area is spacious. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line.
• Timing: Timing does not start until you cross the timing mats!
• Be Ready: Start your race when you are ready.

🚗 Parking Information

• Parking Location: The Lansing Community College parking ramp will be open and available for parking.
• Free Parking: Ample free parking is available in the ramp.
• Exit Ease: After the race, you can exit the ramp before the last runner finishes.
• Guidance: Volunteers will guide you in and out.

💰 Entry Fees

• Cost: $30 until November 19. Shirt is guaranteed. $35 from November 20 to November 26.
• Shirts: Available while supplies last.
• Family Discount: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3/person (10% discount).
• Preregistration: Be sure to preregister. There is no race day registration.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Pickup Place: At Playmakers, Tuesday 11/25 and Wednesday 11/26 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Community Center: Packet pick up will be at the Playmakers community center.
• Address: 2299 West Grand River Ave. Okemos, MI 48864. You may pick up for family and friends.
• Race Day: Packet pickup begins at 7:30 am at Lansing Community College in the Gannon building, first floor.

🏆 Awards

• Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site.
• Age Group Awards: Medals for top 3 in age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+.
• Overall Awards: Medal and $50 Playmakers gift certificate to Male and Female: Overall, Master (Over 40), Grand Master (Over 50).
• Awards Timing: Awards will be available race day at the awards table starting at 9:45 am.

💖 Proceeds

• Benefit: Proceeds from the race support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, and Youth Running Clubs.
• Grant Program: Through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.

🏅 Virtual Event

• Participation: If you can't make the race, sign up for the virtual race. We will mail out a shirt and bib to you!
• Run Period: Virtual race can be done from November 22 to November 30.
• Cost: $35 and includes shipping.
• No Awards: There are no awards for the virtual event. Registration closes on November 19.
