The literary-themed 5K in Roosevelt Park sponsored by the Friends of the Edison Public Library!

Event Purpose

• Proceeds: All proceeds go to supporting programs for children, adults and seniors at the Edison Public Library branches.
• Registration Benefits: Registration includes a finisher’s medal and custom event socks.
• Event Shirt: Add an event shirt for just $15.
• Awards: The overall top 3 fastest runners will receive a placeholder to engrave their choice of words onto bricks in a pathway at North Edison Library in 2027!

Age Group Awards

Special medals will be presented to the top 3 participants in the following age groups:

• 10 and under
• 11–15
• 16–19
• 20–29
• 30–39
• 40–49
• 50–59
• 60–69
• 70+

Costume Contest

Come dressed as your favorite book character and enter the costume contest! Bragging rights for the year to the most original costume!

• Timing: Chip-timed race
• Participants: Runners and walkers of all abilities!

• Early Packet Pickup: October 10, 2026, Location and time: TBD
• Race-Day Packet Pickup: October 11, 2026, 7:00–8:00 AM on site
