Kick off your East Texas Yamboree with one of Gilmer's favorite traditions!
The 89th Annual East Texas Yamboree Tater Trot welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates community, fitness, and one of East Texas' most beloved festivals.
Race Options
- Course Choices: Professionally chip-timed 5K or 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
- Challenge Level: Rolling hills provide a rewarding challenge for competitive runners
- Water Stations: Available along the course
- Post-Race Refreshments: Fresh coffee provided by Cozy Coffee Station at the finish line
Team Participation
Make it even more fun by creating a team with your family, friends, or coworkers! Whether you're racing for bragging rights or simply enjoying the morning together, teams make the Tater Trot even more memorable. Costumes are always encouraged—we love seeing participants show off their creativity and Yamboree spirit!
Awards and Medals
- Champions: Overall male and female 5K champions will each receive a $200 gift basket
- Age Division Awards: Ribbons presented to 1st and 2nd place male and female finishers in each age division
- Finisher's Medal: Every participant will receive a commemorative finisher's medal
- Registration: A commemorative race T-shirt is guaranteed for all pre-registered participants
