17th John’s Baby Steps 5K Race, Mile Memory Walk & Kids Fun Run

Date and Location

• Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
• Angel Presentation: 8:00am
• Shot Gun Start: 8:15 am
• Location: Brickyard Park on S. 18th Street, north of Brickyard Road in Adel

Virtual Race Option

• Availability: Open for submission October 4th

Registration Fees

• Early Registration: $20.00 by August 15th (includes t-shirt)
• After August 15th: $25 (t-shirt guaranteed if registered before 9/1/25)
• After Sept 20th: $30.00 (t-shirts while last)
• Student (through 12th Grade): $15

Packet Pick-Up

• Friday, October 2nd: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM at Adel Public Library
• Race Day: Brickyard Park Packet Pick-Up & Registration 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM
• Note: We ask that everyone be checked in & ready by 7:45 out of respect for the families during Angel Presentation, Thank You in advance

Special Admission for Children

• Ages 12 & under: Free admission, NO registration required! (unless want timed for 5K Route)

• Memory Balloon Release: Tentative
• Gender & Age Awards: 19 & under, 20-40, 41+
• Kids Fun Run: For 12 & under, immediately following 5K finishing
