🔦 Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Join us for the 3rd Annual Light the Darkness 5K working to put an END to Human Trafficking one step at a time! Our mission is to raise awareness, provide education and funds to benefit the prevention, identification, rehabilitation and support of survivors of those who have been sexually exploited.

🌅 Race Overview

• Event: This is an evening out and back BEACH race that will start on the beach in front of LORI WILSON PARK!
• Launch: This is our official launch of our Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series.
• Activities: If you love the outdoors and want to contribute to the solution in ending human trafficking, you can walk, run, hike or golf....All for the Freedom of others!
• Vendors: NEW!! There will be a race village with vendors and a food truck starting at 3:45 pm!

🗓️ Race Details

• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: TBD
• Date: 1/24 - SATURDAY at Lori Wilson Park 1500 N. Atlantic Ave. (I Dream of Jeannie Ln. South Entrance), Cocoa Beach, FL 32931
• Schedule:
  • 3:45 PM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
  • 5:15 PM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Closes
  • 5:25 PM - National Anthem
  • 5:30 PM - 5K Start!
• Post-race: 7:00 PM - Music, Beverages, Vendors, Raffle Giveaways and Prizes!

⚠️ Race Requirements

• Essentials: Head Lamps, Neon & lighted apparel and accessories are necessary!
• Light Award: We are upping our game on our Light Award, we will have more than 1!
• Prizes: * PRIZEs for runners with the best Glow Lights! *

🏆 Awards

Awards will be given to: 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female, master male and female. No age group awards will be given.

💰 Fees

• $30: Register Before midnight on 1/2
• $35: Register after midnight on 1/3-1/16
• $40: Register after midnight on 1/16 - Race Day

🎖️ Amenities

• Finisher Medals: Finisher medals to all participants.
• Raffle Tickets: One FREE raffle ticket. Dozens of fabulous and festive raffle prizes. BEST LIGHT AWARDS, so dress festive!
• Refreshments: One FREE drink ticket and additional post race refreshments available.
• Shirts: Unisex short-sleeve shirt. EARLY REGISTRANTS have the option to order a tank top option!

🛍️ Vendors

We are adding vendors this year with our new location! Each vendor will receive a 10x10 spot in our Race Village. Vendors are required to have their own lighting (solar lights are not bright enough), tent, and generator if power is needed.

🚗 Parking for the Event

Parking for the event is at Lori Wilson Park, both lots on a first come basis.
