🔴 January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month!
Join us for the 3rd Annual Light the Darkness 5K working to put an END to Human Trafficking one step at a time! Our mission is to raise awareness, provide education and funds to benefit the prevention, identification, rehabilitation and support of survivors of those who have been sexually exploited.
🏖️ Race Overview
- Race Type: Evening out and back BEACH race starting in front of LORI WILSON PARK!
- First Event: Launch of our Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series.
- Activities: Walk, run, hike or golf for the freedom of others!
- New Feature: Race village with vendors and a food truck starting at 3:45 PM!

- Pre-Race Packet Pickup: TBD
- Race Day Schedule: 1/24 - SATURDAY @ Lori Wilson Park, Cocoa Beach, FL.
- Registration Opens: 3:45 PM
- 5K Start: 5:30 PM
🏆 Awards
- Categories: 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female, master male and female.
- No Age Group Awards: No age group awards will be given.
- Festive Prizes: Best lighted participants will win prizes!
💰 Fees
- Before Midnight on 1/2: $30
- 1/3 - 1/16: $35
- After 1/16 - Race Day: $40
🎁 Amenities
- Finisher Medals: To all participants.
- Free Raffle Ticket: For fabulous and festive raffle prizes.
- Free Drink Ticket: Additional post-race refreshments available.
- Shirts: Unisex short-sleeve shirt: early registrants can opt for a tank top.
🛍️ Vendors
We are adding vendors this year with our new location! Each vendor will receive a 10x10 spot in our Race Village. Vendors are required to have their own lighting (solar lights are not bright enough), tent and generator if power is needed. Any questions can be directed to lightthedarkness5K@freedomfighter.org.
🚗 Parking for the Event
Parking for the event is at Lori Wilson Park, both lots first come basis.
