AWARENESS MONTH
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month!
EVENT OVERVIEW
- Annual Event: Join us for the 4th Annual Light the Darkness 5K working to put an END to Human Exploitation one step at a time!
- Mission: Our mission is to ignite an army towards prevention, response, and recovery initiatives, which include, raising awareness, education, engagement, and advocacy.
- Race Type: This is an evening out and back BEACH race that will start on the beach in front of LORI WILSON PARK!
- Event Series: This is our official launch of our 2027 Get Outdoors for Freedom Series.
RACE VILLAGE
- Start Time: There will be a race village with vendors and a food truck starting at 3:45 pm!

SCHEDULE FOR RACE DAY
- Date & Location: 1/16 - SATURDAY @ Lori Wilson Park, I Dream of Jeannie Ln. (South Entrance), Cocoa Beach, Fl 32931
- 3:45 PM: Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
- 5:15 PM: Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Closes
- 5:30 PM: 5K Start!
ESSENTIALS
- Head Lamps: Head Lamps, Neon & lighted apparel and accessories are necessary!
- Awards: Prizes for runners with the best Glow Lights!
AWARDS
- Categories: Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall male and female, master male and female.
- No Age Group Awards: No age group awards will be given.
REGISTRATION FEES
- $30: Register Before midnight on 12/15
- $35: Register after midnight on 12/16-01/07
- $40: Register after midnight on 01/08 - Race Day
AMENITIES
- Finisher Medals: Finisher medals to all participants.
- Raffle Ticket: One FREE raffle ticket.
- Drink Ticket: One FREE drink ticket and additional post-race refreshments available.
- Shirt: Unisex short-sleeve shirt, with the option for a tank top for early registrants.
VENDORS
- New Vendors: We are adding vendors this year with our new location!
- Vendor Requirements: Vendors are required to have their own lighting, tent, and generator if power is needed.

PARKING
- Event Parking: Parking for the event is at Lori Wilson Park, both lots first come basis.
- Overflow Parking: Overflow parking will be at the Cocoa Beach Health & Fitness, 1355 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach.
