Join us for Run for Freedom, Peace Promise's annual 5K fundraiser dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and freedom to survivors of human trafficking. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or simply passionate about making a difference, your participation helps fuel the life-changing work of Peace Promise.

How to Participate
Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or church community and create a fundraising team! Teams can participate together at our in-person event or organize their own run or walk at a time and place of their choosing.
- In-Person Event: Join us to run or walk together at Penbrook Community Park.
- Individual Challenge: Complete the challenge individually—every mile and every dollar raised makes an impact.
- For Kids: Not up for a full 5K? Our ¼-mile Fun Run is perfect for kids—and kids at heart.
Our Mission
Peace Promise is a Harrisburg-based nonprofit that addresses the complexities of sex trafficking in the Harrisburg region. We offer outreach & intervention, support & training, education & awareness, and economic empowerment for those who have experienced the weight of sexual exploitation.
- Healing Support: We partner with survivors in their healing process to provide practical needs like housing and employment.
- Emotional Care: We address emotional support and life skills training to equip survivors to thrive in their journey to freedom.
- Community Partnerships: We partner with area organizations, law enforcement agencies, and mental healthcare professionals.
- Volunteers: We have a dedicated community of volunteers, financial partners, and our trained staff to ensure holistic care of our survivors.
