The Pancake Ride!
Event Details
- Date: August 8, 2026
- Location: Republic High School, Republic, MO
- Category Selection: Note: Category selection is only for record-keeping. If you want to ride a different route on the day you are free to do so. Each participant receives the same amenities & support.
- Rest Stop Info: The Halltown Rest Stop is now located at Halltown Fire Station #1. We will also have a pop-up rest stop on FR 69.
Ride Overview
- Event Type: Springfield's longest-running annual cycling event across the Ozarks countryside. A fun time for all ages and all skill levels.
- History: This event began as a Bike MS training ride but has become an Ozarks staple for training. We are donating 25% of the net proceeds to the Mid America MS Chapter in honor of Debbie and those with MS.
- Ride Experience: This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic ride around the Ozarks west of Springfield.
- Pancake Station: Riders will travel through Billings, where our pancake station will be set up for providing pancakes to riders.
Event Amenities
- Rest Stops: This ride includes stocked rest stops and SAG, and convenience stores are available along the route(s).
- Finish Line Treat: We will have fresh-cut watermelon at the finish line at Republic High School.
- Lemonade Stand: There are rumors of a possible lemonade stand along the route - bring some cash for the kids!
- Safety Priority: The Pancake Ride promotes the “go slow and say hello” model. The safety of all riders is our highest priority.
Rider Guidelines
- Helmets: Helmets are mandatory for all riders.
- Age Requirement: Riders must be over the age of 10 years old to participate (outside of the family category).
- Road Safety: Riders should use bike lanes when available and safe, and ride as close to the right-hand side of the road as practicable.
- Traffic Laws: Riders must obey all rules of the road, traffic signals, crossing signals, and stop signs at all times.
Additional Information
- Speed Control: Watch downhill speeds and stay in control at all times.
- No Refunds: Unfortunately, due to the significant time and cost of planning this amazing event, we are not able to offer refunds in the event of inclement weather or other circumstances that would result in the event being cancelled.
