About this race
Overview
The Second Summer Cycle is the perfect event for riders of all levels, offering a picturesque journey through 8 historic Cape Cod towns and a strong commitment to rider safety. Four distances are being offered, 15, 34, 60, and 100 miles. The start and finish is at beautiful Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth where there will be a Finish Line Celebration from 12PM-4PM, including local beer, food trucks and live music. All proceeds benefit 19 local Cape charities.

- Metric Century - 60 Miles
- 34 Miles
- 15 Miles

Starts and finishes will be at staggered times starting at 7:00AM from Smugglers Beach in South Yarmouth.

Safety
Safety: We will have marshals at every major turn to help guide riders.
Support services: Bike shops will be represented along the course to help with any technical issues. There will also be SAG (support and gear) vehicles to help riders who need support or a pickup along the course.
Hydration and Nutrition: Ample hydration and nutrition stops will be strategically positioned along the course, along with medical and physical therapy stations equipped with tents and tables to ensure participants' comfort and well-being. The Hydration and Nutrition stops will be approximately every 15 miles.
Medical and Physical Therapy: There will be medical and physical therapy support at most Hydration stops.
Beneficiaries
19 Cape Cod non-profit organizations will benefit from the monies generated by the riders. Riders can choose which charity will benefit from their fundraising: otherwise, monies will be distributed across all participating charities.
All monies to pay for the overhead of the event come from corporate sponsorships as well as registration fees.
Beneficiaries: All money raised by the riders will be paid directly to the beneficiaries. Riders are expected to raise at least $250 each, and each beneficiary team is expected to raise $5,000.
Finish Line Celebration
The Finish Line Celebration will take place from 12PM-4PM at Smuggler's Beach. You will be able to dance to the music of a great local band. You will have $30 in vouchers to use at food and beverage trucks as part of your registration fee.
Changing your clothes at the finish: Public restrooms are available on site.
