Race Overview
The Franklin County Cyclists are excited to once again host Michaux GRVL for 2026, and are offering 4 awesome routes with a fun scavenger hunt on all courses for everyone!

Beneficiaries
We are continuing to partner with 2 great local groups for this event: Friends of Michaux State Forest and Bulldog Bike Park. Proceeds from this year's event will be distributed to both groups, and each will be active participants in the event by running aid stations and providing volunteers along the route.
Race Format
MICHAUX GRVL 2026 is a ride and race to be taken at your own pace. We will be offering timing on each route for those interested in their personal statistics, and results will be posted on our website following the event.
- Timing: Timing mats will be present at the start and finish.
- Bike Recommendation: We recommend the use of gravel bikes with tires of at least 35mm.
- Registration: There will be no day-of registrations, and all participants must complete their registrations prior to the event.
- Packet Pickup: Pre-race packet pick up on Friday evening from 6-8pm at Michaux Brewing Co.
Start Times
- 100 Mile: 6:30am - FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED
- 65 Mile: 8:30am
- 45 Mile: 9:30am
- 15 Mile: 10:00am
Cutoff Times
- Big Flat Aid Station: 12 PM
- Pine Grove Furnace Aid Station: 1:30 PM
- Teaberry Mini Station (100mi route only): 2 PM
- Finish Line Cutoff: 4:30 PM
Aid Stations
Aid stations will be available for different distances, including food and drinks to support participants on their journey.
- Big Flat Aid Station: Located at Big Flat Parking Lot, Hours: 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM
- Pine Grove Furnace Aid Station: At Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Hours: 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM
- Teaberry Mini Aid Station: (100 mile route only) at Teaberry Parking Lot, Hours: 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Food Truck Service: End of Ride Food Truck from Fat Russ BBQ, Hours: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Courses
- Explorer Course: 15 Miles and 1,360ft elevation - No rest stop offered.
- Short Course: 43.5 Miles and 3,820ft elevation - Access to 2 Aid Stations (mile marker 11 & 27).
- Long Course: 65 Miles and 6,400ft elevation - Access to 2 Aid Stations (mile markers 22 & 49).
- Expert Course: 100 Miles and 9,800ft elevation - Access to 2.5 Aid stations (mile markers 22, 49, & 74).
Race Safety Notes
- Traffic: Roads WILL be open to traffic and you MUST respect other riders and motorists.
- Obey Rules: You MUST obey the rules of the road.
- Course Officials: There is no race official on course: it is not a USAC sanctioned event.
- Podium Categories: Podium ceremony for categories with 3 or more competitors.
Scavenger Hunt
We're bringing it back! We're keeping it interesting for all of those enjoying Michaux GRVL. We'll be hiding several tokens out on the course for riders to find and turn in for a prize. Follow us on social media to learn more closer to race day!
