Oldham County Sprint Triathlon

Event Overview

Oldham County Parks and Recreation will be hosting its 23rd annual, USAT sanctioned Sprint Triathlon at Wendell Moore Park on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Eligibility

• Age Requirement: Participants must be 16 & over.

Race Details

• Swimming Leg: 400 meters, is a time start, every 15 seconds, in the John W. Black Aquatic Center 25 meter pool.
• Bike Course: 10 miles, on the Oldham County roads (non closed) with police at the major intersections. The bike course is a hilly course.
• Run Leg: 2 miles, on the park grounds includes an asphalt trail with a few grass sections.
• Finish Medal: All triathletes receive a finish medal at the finish line.

Awards Ceremony

• Post-Race Event: Awards ceremony follows the race with free pizza.
• Awards: Awards will be given to Overall Female, Overall Male and the top two finishers in a variety of age groups.
• Door Prizes: All triathletes will receive a ticket for a chance to win one of several door prizes during the awards ceremony.

Registration Information

• Entry Fee: The race costs $75.00 per individual.
• Insurance Fee: All Non-USAT members must add an additional fee per participant to cover one-day insurance.
• Deadline: Registration deadline is August 16th at 11:59 p.m.
• Capacity: Maximum number of participants is 200 entries.
