Event Purpose
- Support: The New Vision 5K Run/Walk exists to support New Vision Charter School, a public school in the Thompson School District.
- Wellness Opportunities: Its main purpose is to provide our staff and students with wellness opportunities throughout the school year.
- Healthy Choices: The Wellness program educates our students on how to make healthy choices throughout their lives, through good nutrition and exercise.
Wellness Activities
- Fun Events: The Wellness Committee has provided lots of fun wellness activities for our students and staff.
- Activities Included: We host a Wellness night, monthly health challenges, pedometer challenges, and running club.
Previous Projects
- Completed Projects: Projects that have been previously completed with the funds include Grief journals, emotions journals, flexible seating, and a tower garden for the school.
- Facilities: A running path around our soccer field, drumfit equipment, and the Lu Projector in the new gym were also funded.
- Event Support: Funds help us put on the event of Wellness Night.
